SIMOC (Singapore International Math Olympiad Challenge)


Important: To participate in SIMOC (held in Singapore), applicants must hold at least a Bronze and above from AMO 2024, SASMO 2025, SMGF 2025. 

Before registration, please submit your award certificate to simcc@oztry.org for verification. Only approved applicants may proceed to register and pay to secure the exam slot. 

Unverified registrations will be deemed invalid and refunded. Ensure compliance with these steps to confirm your participation.

Fee: AUD 278 (covers competition registration only).

Singapore International Math Olympiad Challenge (SIMOC) is the top global mathematics contest where top talents from 45 countries compete and learn from each other as a team with Individual and team recognition awards up for grabs. You work as a team playing mathematical games and solving puzzles. Students are grouped with others speaking different languages. This challenges emotional development, dealing with winning or losing, and social development learning interaction with others and meeting for the first time.  Sixty Global Math Olympiad Scholarships (GMOS) awarded.

Inclusive Age Group

SIMOC welcomes participants from different age groups. This inclusivity ensures that students from diverse backgrounds have an equal opportunity to showcase their mathematical prowess and gain recognition on an international stage.


Global Representation

The competition has seen significant growth since its inception, attracting participants from more than 20 countries across Asia, Europe, and the Americas. This global representation fosters an atmosphere of cultural exchange and mutual learning, as students from various educational systems come together to share their passion for mathematics.


Educational and Skill Development

SIMOC not only tests participants’ mathematical skills but also helps them develop essential skills such as critical thinking, problem-solving, and analytical reasoning. The competition’s challenging problems push students to think creatively and apply their mathematical knowledge in innovative ways.


Mode of competition: Held in-person in Singapore


Competition Date: Saturday, 5 July 2025 to Wednesday, 9 July 2025 


Eligible for Grades: Primary 1 to Junior College 2 (Grades 1 to 12)


Entry Requirements: At least a Bronze and above from AMO 2024, SASMO 2025, SMGF 2025


Scholarship Points (SPs): Perfect Score=4points, Gold=3points, Silver=2points, Bronze=1point, OC/PAExS Star=3points, RU/PAExS=2points, 3rd=1point, Team Gold=1point, Team Silver=0.5point, Team Bronze=0.25point 


Awards: Individual - Top 10% Gold, 15% Silver, 25% Bronze, and 20% Hon Mention.           

Team - Top 8% Gold, 12% Silver, 20% Bronze. Plus Top 10 Gold winners from grade 4-9 awarded with Global Math Olympiad Scholarships (GMOS).
